3 Days desert tour from Marrakech to Fes

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Our ‘3 days desert trip from Marrakech to Fez’ starts (around 08:00am) from Marrakech to Dades Valley and gorges. Across the Tizi-n-Tichka mountain pass with far-reaching views across the mountains, to the traditional High Atlas Berber villages.

We continue to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site by walking inside its mud houses, a spectacular fortified village (Ksour). You can have your lunch at Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate and continue to Dades Valley. We will spend the night in a Hotel Kasbah in Dades Valley with spectacular view of the valley.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (Camel Ride – Night in Desert)

After breakfast, we departure from Dades Valley to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga Erg Chebbi. Berber villages are awesome along the way. We will pass through Tinjdad and Erfoud city, where we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan atmosphere and views.

We continue to Merzouga Erg Chebbi desert sand dunes. After relaxing few minutes in Merzouga, we go to the camels waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. It will take around an hour and some minutes with a stop for sunset on top of a dune and a walk in soft dunes.

We will spend the night in a desert camp with drums, music and fire in the middle of the Sahara. This is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise. We will spend the night in private desert tents in Erg Chebbi.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes

Wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise on top of the dune in the Sahara Desert. After these beautiful moments, you will have your breakfast and take a shower. We will depart to Errachidia city via Erfoud, Aoufous and Ziz Valley, then stop for a panoramic view of the oasis of Aoufous in the Tafilalte region.

Continuation to Midelt across the pass of Tizi N’talghamt and have lunch break in Midelt. After lunch we will be driven to Fes (the medieval city) via the Cedar Forest near Azrou and the mountains of the Middle Atlas, with the possibility to see the Barbary apes (monkeys).

You may have a stop in Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco) before arriving to Fes. Drop you off in your Riad/Hotel in Fes. End of our 3 Days Desert Trip from Marrakech to Fez.
