Morocco Itinerary: 3 Days trip from Marrakech to Desert

Our 3-day trip should start in the morning around 08:00 am, departing from Marrakech to Dades Valley. We will drive through the high Atlas Mountains and a beautiful mountain pass called Tizi N'Tishka. Of course, we will have some stops in those beautiful panoramic views for pictures.

After that, we will continue to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou until we reach Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. The Kasbah takes place in several films, including Babel, Gladiator, and The Mummy.

We will have the chance to visit the Kasbah and explore its buildings. We may have lunch in Ait Ben Haddou before continuing our trip to Ouarzazate and then the Dades Gorges along the ‘Road of Kasbahs’ to your hotel or river, where we will spend the night.

After breakfast on the terrace with a calm view, we continue our desert trip via the Todra Gorges. In the beginning of the gorges, we will stop and walk along the long mountains and the clean water for 15 minutes, taking pictures and exploring the area.

Get in your car and drive to the Sahara desert, passing by the Tafilalet valley of palm trees. We will arrive in Sahara in the late afternoon, then package in the hotel and take a camel ride with a guide for about 1 hour, including the magnificent sunset view on top of the dune, and then continue to the desert camp, which is closed to the dune.

You will be welcomed with a cup of Moroccan mint tea. Relax, and dinner will be served under the stars if the weather is warm. After you have your dinner meal, a group of local guides will invite you to share with them some African drum music around fire and a great explanation about the Sahara and its people. You can walk in the dunes and watch the stars before going to sleep.

You need to wake up early to attend an amazing sunrise in the golden sand dunes of Er Chebbi. You take the camels back to the hotel. We begin our journey back to Marrakech after breakfast and a warm shower, passing through the largest souk in southern Morocco, Rissani Souk, a traditional, authentic Moroccan market.

So now we are leaving behind the beautiful Draa Valley with its millions of palm trees and continuing our return to Marrakech through more beautiful scenery. We will reach Marrakech in the evening and transfer you to your hotel. End of our 3-day desert trip service.

Youssef Bouni

It is a great pleasure to introduce myself to you, dear guests. My full name is Youssef Bouni. I was born and raised in the desert (southeast of Morocco). I studied the English language for 7 years, and I learned some other languages thanks to the tourists, like Spanish, French, Italy, and a little German. I usually like to discover and explore many things in our rich cultural society: imperial cities, countryside, and a wonderful desert that consists of golden sand dunes, mountains, rivers, and beautiful landscapes.
